Even a broken clock is right twice a day. It's an old saying that reminds us that even stupid or unreliable people can sometimes be correct; or that flawed or malfunctioning things can occasionally produce correct results. It's often used to caution against placing too much trust in something just because it occasionally delivers the right outcome.
