When ads flooded some parts of the internet, I adjusted by avoiding those places when I recognized the signs—or hitting the back button quickly when I hadn't. When "AI" scrapers led to an explosion of sites making me wait while checking if I'm a robot, I got used to it, though it's a drag. And so on it goes. Now it seems cyber surveillance could advance in ways that might require bigger behavioral adaptation.

There are people saying that he was not an entirely pleasant person. I know nothing about that. I do know that I found the Hyperion series to be mind-blowing; I wish I could write like that. May he rest in peace.

case in point of what kind of music I am talking about, this is a release I had not heard back in the time and dont actually know when this was made but it was released by hotflush records in a 2018 compliation called sound of SUB:STANCE

Last night I began listening to dubstep stuff from 2006-2009. I remeber how wonderful that brief period of music was. The parties were awesome and I still remeber standing near the loudspeaker cabinets would make you shake internally because of low loud bass sounds. Ahh those were the times 🥲
