joplin-cli 0.3.0 is out!

It’s a lightweight „no MCP server needed“ way to give AI agents access to you Joplin Notes (or just to access them from the CLI yourself)

Latest release primarily focuses on README, and release packaging. So it’s easy to get started as running npm install and setting up your Joplin Token!

I’ve started a #joplin CLI app.

Compared to the Joplin Terminal App (which is a full blown Joplin with a TUI) I’ve created it as a thin wrapper using the Wen Clipper API.

I use it for

- search/get/update all you Notes and Notebooks from your favorite terminal.
- connect to LLMs (as a much leaner alternative to all MCP Servers I’ve found so far)

It’s still rough around the edges but very easy to set up if you want to take a look! 👀

@jon But to be fair… I still prefer tapping to tickets and other payment systems. As a tourist, not having to worry about zones, fares if day tickets are cheaper then paying for individual trips, all of this is gone and creates much simpler and easier experience!

@jon The „you can tap in here, but not tap out at you destination“ is one of the most annoying things about the London transportation. Been there myself a couple of times and had to buy a second ticket whilst already on the train…

(Luckily not tapping out in London is quite inexpensive ~11£ as you only pay the daily cap, compared to other cities)

What’s the best way to debug Workflows with Google Gemini?

I spent the afternoon trying to get Gemini to parse a PDF file for me and compare it with a CSV File. It could not even answer simple questions right. It took me hours until I learned it was because it failed to parse the PDF correctly, and only after countless times of “show me your work” prompting…

Is there a better way? #AI #gemini
