Former Germanic pagan now seeking refuge at the Lotus Feet of Krishna after a profound spiritual experience. Sharing my photography and spiritual musings -- make of them what you will.

One weekend last December, I sat down to read the Bhagavad Gita, a book about which I had heard many speak, praising its profundity and wisdom.

And as I read it, I realised exactly what they meant. I could not put it down. Every page had verses that leapt out at me, hit me full on with challenging and mind-blowing insights into the nature of this reality, of God and the bind in which we find ourselves because we misundertand both.

And it changed me. My path now follows a different course.

Very interested to have received my DNA ethnicity estimate via MyHeritage. Born in England, I am the result of forebears all hailing from various regions of northern and central Europe as shown on this map. The 31% Scottish heritage was a surprise.

A trip into nearby Münster today for a spot of retail therapy and a general taking in the vibe of this amazing city. We sometimes forget just what a beautiful part of the world we are privileged to live in.

If I sit and think about it, I fear that as a society we are engaged in a cumulative Sisyphean enterprise that consists of successive generations following the same established and artificial systems and mistaking them for anything approaching reality and actual meaning.

Next to the Gita, the most sublime and enduringly profound religious scripture I have ever encountered. Such a depth of insight that is awe-inspiring.

The reaching vault of the forest yesterday, still bare of foliage but which in a few short weeks will be sprouting anew to create a verdant canopy.

The ash tree that stands at the edge of the garden captured yesterday evening in moody monochrome.

Spring vibes at the garden centre this morning. Lovely to see all the many colourful flowers on display promising the advent of warmer days.
