Are you an IAU member and have received the May 2026 IAU Orbit Monthly Circular? It contains a poll asking you if the IAU should start being active on Bluesky. I sent back an e-mail back suggesting they try Mastodon instead (which I addressed to Anne Thieme, see https://www.iau.org/IAU/IAU/News/Ann2025/IAU-Membership-Coordinator.aspx). Maybe you would like to second that suggestion by also contacting them. Let me know if you did?
Wow, it has been more than 2 decades since I've schlepped through #MCI, and how it has changed! I recall we would stumble out of the plane, and stumble into baggage claim. But the airport has exploded beyond all recognition. No longer the quirky elder brother to Pune any more. So much more voluminous now!

... flight change to a close by airport, which was fortuitously available because it too had been delayed, followed by its cancellation _while walking to its gate_ then a rescheduling to two days later, followed now by threats from the airline's meteorologists that that too could be delayed or canceled due to weather .. should not bloody happen. I am not sure how much to blame the airline and how much the airport and how much the FAA.

I don't quite know just what is wrong with airlines nowadays, but I can say that a change of plane due to a previous flight cancellation, followed by a delay due to equipment problems, followed by an unspecified delay, followed by a delay due to late arrival of plane, followed by a 3-hour waiting on the tarmac to get a more efficient flight path from FAA, then a cancellation due to weather, then a flight change to a close by airport, which was fortuitously available because
