Loving retro-tech and colorful neon pastel art.
Sometimes I like to reverse engineer old video games.

You may also remember me from such software as:

Toad's Tool 64: The original Super Mario 64 level editor.

Metroid Cubed: An early 2000s attempt at voxelizing a classic 2D video game. Recently revived as Metroid Curved.

SFXEdit: A level editor for Star Fox.

Oh noes! The video apparently went "viral", nearing 6k views in 24h! 🙃

Happy 40th birthday Super Mario Bros.!

There's nothing quite like playing this game on original hardware! :D

Soon...
Back when this bot was at the other place I made an animated version of this gif, using color cycling to make the water flow as it was originally intended. https://mas.to/@gifs_bot/114813803283063048
Did you know that gravy was originally made of potatoes? #gravy

After playing too many hours of F-Zero 99, I finally managed to squeeze into the top 100 on the weekly leaderboard, with a rank of 54!

Digging around my old Macromedia Director projects archive, I stumbled on one of the earliest thing I made with Director 4.0 on a B&W Mac Classic.

It's a very boring pong game with some "cool" checkerboard distortion effect.

To achieve the effect, the assets were pre-rendered using Photoshop 2.5 (which did work on a B&W Mac!). The "Spherize" filter was used on the ball for each combination of checkerboard patterns and "Emboss" was used for the paddle.

'Tis the season for Casios and handheld games!

Happy holidays everyone! 🎄 🌟
