Went for a drive to Taco Bell to test some #carplay enhancements to #jellify and I was greeted by my first name at the speaker 🗿

1.1.5 of our humble #music app for #Jellyfin will be in stores soon with plenty of fixes and enhancements 💜

I went on a side-quest and built an #ansible playbook for deploying HashiCorp's Nomad and Consul on macOS

I use #apple Silicon Mac Minis in my #homelab - with Nomad as the job orchestrator - and I wanted an easy way to maintain my cluster

Let me know what y'all think! Huge thank you to @geerlingguy for his collection, documentation, and inspiration

With the power of MusicBrainz Picard and MP3Tag, I've finally conquered my tagless jumble of a music collection and have beautiful cover art for each and every one of my albums. Feels great!

I set up my own #Jellyfin instance to serve my old music library. To my surprise the sound quality subjectively seems much better than on Spotify ...

#Jellify 1.1 is getting close to beta and I couldn’t be more excited 🪼

This version will feature a brand new player backend, designed and written in-house by the team.

This module manages resources better and handles downloads natively on the system 😎

It also comes with some tricks up it’s sleeve - like equalizer controls and gapless playback 🙂‍↕️

You can even drop it in your own #reactnative project!

My music collection only has DRM-free music in it. My first goto for new music is always #Bandcamp. If it's not there, then #Qobuz, which has improved a lot but costs more. Both offer high quality FLAC downloads. Then it's hard to find music on #Cds, usually from local stores.

I don't purchase mp3, and I will never rent (to never own), my music.

I plan to listen to my music collection until I'm six feet under using my Jellyfin Server.

Jellify is my new music client… and, it’s made in Wisconsin by @violexene

“Jellify is a free and open source music player for the Jellyfin Media Server. Built with React Native, it is available for both iOS and Android.”

And one more music app before I switch gears: @violexene’s Jellify. This is a cross-platform app, free and open source, with super fast development, and a super fast UX.

It’s a joy to use and while I’m one of those crazy people who adores Liquid Glass, if you don’t (or you’re on Android) it would be my number one recommendation for you. In fact I’ve already shared it with several friends.
