@atomicpoet All true. I still have a working reel to reel, but I hardly ever use it. Also a cassettedeck, don't use that much either.
In the old days you would records songs on cassettes to save money or for use in the car, but both are not valid reasons anymore.
Vinyl is playing music, but also searching, browsing and collecting, artwork (also displayed on the wall) and talking about it.
@atomicpoet I respect your choice, but I never think that way. I only think in albums and that's mostly 12" 331/3 RPM. I do have some 45 RPM double albums, that sound a little better, but are kinda inconvenient because they have to be flipped over every few minutes. Same for singles. They are nice, but inconvenient. On the other hand, if you want to have everything original from e.g. the Beatles, you have to have some singles, because not everything appeared on an album at first.
@Pauloester Interesting!
@Pauloester The cover looks nice, but I don know this one...
@atomicpoet You think so? I'm not really a beginner πŸ˜‰ and I have a few hundred 7" singles and EPs and a couple of 10" LPs, but for me the real gold is 12" LPs (most of them on 331/3 rpm). Why? The best format for artwork and capable of containing a complete album. The format ever.

I moved my account! 🎸🎢🎡🎼🎷
============================
Hi people,
I moved my account to @vinyl. It was not possible to toot pictures anymore on this instance, so I had to move. The new server is less crowded. I will continue to toot the covers of #vinyl albums over there.
Hope to see you there!
@[email protected] thank you, I will think about it!
@jonas I haven't moved yet because I'm afraid to lose followers, it's no fun posting for nobody.
@matt Yes, but after that it didn't work anymore. It's definitively related to .social.
@[email protected] Yes it's recent. I managed to post yesterday, but it cost quite some effort. I've tried 10 times today, changed the picture to a smaller one, but it didn't help. I'll try again later.
