I'm excited to announce that Outline is transitioning from Jigsaw to the new Outline Foundation, a nonprofit created to be the independent home for technology that helps over 30 million people participate in the global internet every month.

It has become such a public good, that it only makes sense to be its own organization.

Age verification laws are a disaster that make everyone less safe.

Discord just confirmed that a customer support contractor was hacked, exposing government ID images (driver’s licenses, passports, etc.) and other security details from users.

This is exactly what many of us warned would happen.

These laws don’t make kids safer and make everyone more vulnerable to identity theft, stalking, and abuse. We need to stop and reverse them before more harm is done.
