It's a momentous day for Mac developers: you can now provision a device running in a VM. Whether you use VirtualBuddy, UTM, or another app, Xcode can now build, run, and debug apps on multiple versions of macOS without having to reboot.

This includes apps that have entitlements for iCloud and other Apple services.

Provisioning for new VMs is automatic, existing VMs need a bit more attention - see the thread for more info.

It's no secret that I've been... inversely excited about Liquid Glass since its introduction in the summer. Especially on the Mac it has felt like a giant middle finger towards legibility, usability and just *craftsmanship* in the UI. It's not where I hoped to see the platform going.

To distract myself from that and to do *fun things* with my Mac, I've trying to figure out how to bring the spirit of Dashboard back to life – to be a playground for fun, unique UIs again.

There’s a malware impersonation of StopTheMadness Pro on Github whose “download” is a malicious shell script.
