If you haven't seen this yet, Google is planning to require mandatory developer
identity verification for all Android apps, including apps distributed outside
the Play Store, taking effect September 2026. This affects every independent
and open source Android developer directly.
The community has been fighting back at keepandroidopen.org.
The more projects
that speak up the harder it is for Google to ignore.

Found out about @delta , what a clever concept of using email as the exchange medium, even helps preventing it from getting blocked, since email is used everywhere.
I think I've missed it previously exactly because of the emphasis of the email feature, I thought it would require creating an email account to use, but if you use their servers, all you need to setup an account is a username and you will automatically get an email address in their server and be able to use the app right away.
The UI is very friendly and familiar to other chat apps.
End-to-end privacy guaranteed and audited!
Now gotta figure a way to get my people in there!
