@cyberlyra @pluralistic all the people I work with, expect one has FB app and all other Meta apps, none care about having their privacy taken away. My own co-worker makes it a joke "they can see, whatever -- I've got nothing to hide" and it's the same for others I know. I'm saddened.

@Daojoan I use bluetooth only at work, otherwise I won't when I'm out and about. The connection isn't secure.
@Daojoan yeah, when I was on reddit this person spent there entire days doing that, I was like "why, you get paid when they do, that's what should matter." Person reported me to the mod and I was removed from the reddit thread. It's just like how people go onto Google and review businesses, why do that? People need to do things that matter with what they create. Making new things instead of worrying about who is giving them $.
@DarkOptimism you've read Tainters book? I see it at the used bookstore and if it's still there by Saturday I'm getting it. I might watch the live stream for his talk, while I'm at work.
@TheBulletin phone would be my replacement. I now use DuckDuckGo for browsing and delete my tabs. Use Signal for family comms and Proton email. No social media.
Its funny to get to work and not doom scroll on social media platforms. I see my coworkers and just think what a waste of time.
