To my fellow clarinet players, if you already can read sheet music and are just picking up the horn or looking to improve in any which way, this continues to be THE BEST practice book. There's a reason why multiple tutors of mine called it the "clarinet bible". Published in 1946, its amazing how much music has changed but the study of rudiments remain FOUNDATIONAL. Exercises are brutal and rewarding on any clarinet family horn. Covers exercises even for different key systems. It does not hold your hands; you are expected to fail and pick yourself up.
H. Klosé, a tuner, and a metronome will get you to level up, no matter the level of play you're at.
My copy is nearly 20 years old. Yes, it should be more beaten up than it is. It's gonna get a workout over the next few weeks while I get my chops back.
