Writing to humans about technical stuff is the hardest part of the job. I often skip the whole thing as it's takes lots of time and from the work needing to get done. But then many don't see the vast amount of work being done each and every week 🤯
Trying to get better this year
It's been a while! Here's an update of the Slipmat v3 development in 2023:

Is there any popular Python package that does *not* use Black?
Hard to come up with good reasons to not to.
Reading the orange site side projects thread, I realized that all my project ideas are large and complex.
If I was a billionaire, I would just build all my ideas at least to a MVP stage and pretty soon not be a billionaire anymore 😂
Still, better than buying 1 site for a toy!
For the record, even many native Finns, myself included, would rather eat dog shit than this. (And the rest of the population calls it ”delicacy”)
Try explaining to a non-Finn that this is a delicious lunch.

Cool thread of fun expressions in the language where we have a word for ”drinking alone in your underwear” (kalsarikännit)!
Finnish expressions:
- mukkelis makkelis (tripped, fallen down)
- hyrskyn myrskyn (in a turmoil)
- sikin sokin (all mixed up)
- hölkyn kölkyn (cheers, bottoms up)
- mullin mallin (topsy turvy)
- kiikun kaakun (maybe or maybe not)
- nipin napin (narrowly)
Happy to see auth at least mentioned. Many frontend projects —including Nuxt— feel like they only focus on marketing, and no one has actually tried to use the product in a real world project.
Try building a site w/ auth, comments, proper RSS feeds etc. before hyping the tool 😅

”I value ignorance and ease of use over safe and responsible handling of my personal private data.”
GDPR made the internet significantly worse. We can admit this now, right?
