The first time I went to Japan was after the lift. Masked up, got all my vaccines and boosters, and came to see the Rose of Versailles exhibit. I had such a blast and felt so lucky I was able to see the originals. Ryoko Ikeda is one of my top favs mangaka, her art style heavily inspires my own. That tea set was so yummy. I felt so fancy eating it next to the view of Tokyo. #tokyo #RiyokoIkeda #roseofversailles

First post here! Since is January here are photos from my trip to Angouleme last January to see Moto Hagio’s exhibit. I made a drawing of her and hoped to give it to her. Lucky me I was sitting right behind her friends/family and a French publisher team when she was having her interview. (Unfortunately I don’t speak or understand French or much Japanese so I had didn’t understand the talk much at all) I asked the guide if he would give it to her and he said we would. Made my world that day.
