Yet another test page. Nothing fancy, but still interesting. It's from an LP tape so some dots have been incorrectly decoded as up arrow characters.

Weirdest bug yet:

In Adobe Animate 2024, advanced layers cannot have special characters like '/' and '@', so they get replaced with an '_'. E.g: "a/bc" becomes "a_bc".

But for some reason, the string "lt" triggers this check, and it gets renamed to "lt_idn".

I tried several other letter combinations but this is the only one I found that confuses the algorithm. What the heck? 😂

A few days ago, I tried digitizing a VHS tape that was recorded in a slightly slower than LP mode speed, probably because the VCR used to record it was malfunctioning.

Wow/flutter was noticeable in the audio track and my VCR was having a bad time detecting the sync track. The video head would de-synchronize with the video signal on regular intervals.

Maybe there's a way to adjust my VCR to play tapes a bit slower.

A long time ago, someone at Tyne Tees News (via ITV1) accidentally aired the internal countdown clock for the next presenter's video feed.

I didn't check if such thing can be found online easily, so I'm posting it here if anyone finds this interesting.

Trying to recover teletext data from a LP mode VHS tape is the most miserable experience.

Still, not as bad as being forced to use Windows 11.
