Electronics tech that embraced personal computing in the 80's. After mastering DOS and Windows 3.1, I taught myself software development and successfully turned my newfound passion into a career. Fast forward 20 years and I went to the dark side to be the IT Manager for an Augmented Reality startup. Great ride for almost 10 years, but now I'm looking for a good cause to join!

@nixCraft 30 years in software development. Built a small upscale house in a spread out neighborhood built on an old bankrupt golf course. Private neighborhood with a good HOA and a clear charter that defines our standards and boundaries. I ride my bike down to the peninsula point and the Chesapeake Bay. My dogs know all the local trails and food carts!
@coppercrush Itās been over an hour and I feel fine with no increase in anxiety or energy level. My mood is noticeably light but my hands are a bit shakier this morning. Not sure if itās connected or my brain is pranking me.
@trbutler Recently retired from IT management. Windows 10 protects user privacy when properly configured. Windows 11 sends 10x more user data. The coming version of Word will store documents in their cloud by default. Users wonāt understand where their docs are and MS will have control.
I migrated to Linux over the last few years and unplugged my last Windows PC last week. Iām not fond of any commercial systems as their bottom line is more important than my privacy.

@coppercrush Iām 63 and been in treatment for 20+ years for depression with little benefit beyond being able to work and function like a normal person. Finally referred to a neuropsych doctor and she noted I have a severe case of adhd. I took my first pill 30 minutes ago. My doctor prescribed a methylphenidate 5mg pill every morning. #ADHD
