I’m not sure about how Canada has been handling on-shore manufacturing, but if the investments haven’t been bolstering Canadian resource development, then I’m not sure these heavy tariffs are going to be beneficial. From what I understand Trudeau has still been developing fossil fuels. Can anyone clarify this because from my POV this doesn’t look good. #capol #climatechange

Just to be clear, it’s not that there should be wealthy people or that there should be a cap on how much wealth one can have, but that the more wealthy you become, the more resources you consume to attain said wealth, the more they should be taxed. In 1989, the super-rich held $472 billion in unrealized capital gains. In 2022, that figure was $8.5 trillion. While these individuals can live off this wealth as if it were income, none of it is taxed. When I say our tax code is rigged for the rich, this is what I mean.
