Real human in Euroland.

Everything makes sense if you frame it as "How does this help Putin?"

πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Spain announces new €1 billion aid package for Ukraine.

Part of this aid, financed through the EU SAFE instrument, will be directed towards the implementation of joint production in the Ukrainian defense industry.

Including the new package, the total amount of Spanish aid to Kyiv since the start of the full-scale war is €4 billion.

Sanchez stressed that Spain will support Ukraine as much as necessary until a just and lasting peace is achieved.

Question for you: which platforms do you think we should also be active on?

@Kristian_Kiehling My understanding is that US weapons are still being sent to Ukraine, they're just being paid for by Europe?

While that's not the support I'd like to see from the US, I don't see how it helps Ukraine specifically β€” having the weapons is more important than who is paying for them.

It seems like it'd be cheaper for Europe to keep paying, rather than getting involved in a costly war against Iran.

@Kristian_Kiehling So we'll have American troops in Ukraine/Russia, and Europeans in Iran?

I'm really not understanding what the point is.

@Holberg Def would choose the false grail

@wlaatje This guy still supports the 'values' Trump campaigned on over the years.

So close to understanding that Trump is a fraud, and yet, so far...

Trump's National Counterterrorism Center director Joe Kent resigned over the Iran war, the first Trump administration official to do so. "I cannot in good conscience support the war in Iran," Kent wrote. "Iran posed no direct threat to our country, and it is clear we started this war under pressure from Israel and its influential American lobby."

Trump responded by calling Kent "weak on security" and his departure "a good thing." "Iran was a huge threat, every country understood that." #Iran
