Pilen peger bestemt på tech-giganterne, men der er også pile og fingre, der peger mange andre steder hen. De steder synes jeg, vi skal tale mere om.

Så figuren med de onde tech-giganter, der dopamin-fisker den enkelte bruger, synes jeg er et misvisende billede. Det udelader de mange interessenter, der er med til at opretholde og styrke bestemte måder at designe og tilrettelægge teknologierne på.

En figur, der ind imellem trækkes frem om techgiganterne og de sociale medier er, at vi brugere er viljeløse ofre, der med fastholdelsesmekanismerne som sirenesang sejler ind i klipperne. Men politikere, organisationer, firmaer er ikke viljeløse ofre. De/vi synger med i sirenernes kor og betaler for at øjne fastholdes, at indhold når ud til de intenderede målgrupper, at influenter promoverer produkterne osv.
