2024 mar 25: "'Community' Has Become a Dirty Words at IBM's Red Hat (Like 'Commie')"

i personally think community and corporation are closer to mutually exclusive, but this is a great example of how full of shit tr is.

> A decade ago and even months before IBM took over "community" was mentioned a handful of times in the front page.

> Now?

so this happened #sotu

these arent new takes, its a quarter-century old recipe for openwashing.

the reason this debate keeps coming up is that projects keep getting compromised, and those responsible want to skirt blame for enshittification.

enjoying this picture more than i should.

2024 jan 23: "In Web Servers, Microsoft Continues Losing... (and the Web's Decline Continues)"

> So the Web continues getting smaller. Here is their latest graph

LOL, tr chose a linear scale graph that flattens the actual count of ACTIVE sites so much the web didnt even APPEAR until may of 2000!

which is funny because the default graph from the same website (shown here) shows the web is alive and well. tr wanted to focus on a more irrelevant metric- also shown in graph.
