Out at the International LGBTQ+ Leaders conference here in DC! Local change doesn't happen in a bubble, but with the broader community. I'm working for A Better Illinois, a better central Illinois, and better lives across this amazing district, and am proud of the work we have accomplished thusfar.

Also an amazing shout-out to two absolutely amazing mentors in my life Josie Caballero and Emma Curtis. This wouldn't be possible without their guidance and support.

My heart goes out to DFL lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her spouse. I want to say more, but I am speechless over the incredible hate and violence that has permeated our nation, a violence that must be stopped.

Today is a day to remember our neighbors and our families that sacrificed everything so we can have our freedoms. May we never forget them.
