Cat acquisition question?

How do you go about acquiring a new cat?

We usually let the "cat delivery system" work it's magic and one just shows up.

However, I suspect that an adult would be disruptive to our current situation, and a kitten would be better. (As I write that I realize how delusional that sounds) What if the CDS, sends us an adult?

So do you all seek a new adoption out, or just keep an eye out for a "cat in distress" ?

Good Morning MSTDN,

Sunny day in ohio, warm for Dec, I am going to try and organize the piles of "stuff" laying around the yard.

Rocks for walls, rocks for steps, massive pile of leaf compost for garden projects, various piles of pots, unused pallets, you get the picture.

Living in town, where I can't just light a fire and make stuff disappear is the most frustrating thing.

And the Christmas bells that ring there
Are the clanging chimes of doom
🎵 🎶

Indeed, Simon LeBon, Sting and Bono had a point there...

So happy Chimes of Doom to those that celebrate.

Cat Stuff,

Our Stroowaffel has complicated ear formation. "yoda ear"?

It is pretty crowded in there. Leading to wax buildup, bacteria, fungus and discomfort.

We usually do a weeks dose of oral antibiotics when he is in obvious discomfort.

As a wild child, only recently tamed his trust is easily broken so we tread lightly.

But today we tried 50MG gabafentin, and after that I was able to massage some ointment in manually. He did not run and hide for a week like he might have !!

So glad that I could just google it out of curiosity rather than actually live it.

My luck with regards to timing is ridiculous.

I won't be posting much, my plan is to learn Buddhism strictly by listening to pop music from the 70's mostly. But any era will do.

So anyhow, I just learned via Three Dog Night, on Sirius XM classic Vinyl that we walk to Shambala, and it is groovy.

I guess it will rain, in a good way, in terms of washing troubles and shame.

Anyhow, in a few songs I shall be Buddhist, talk to you then.

4 inches of snow cover, severely low temps, actually that makes for a great day to drive equipment over a lawn that would otherwise be turned into a mudpit.

So yes, believe it or not I am heading out to do some landscape prep for next year, as in "get a bunch of stuff off my driveway into the side yard"

So zillow dropped the use of First Street's bullshit climate risk assessment data.

Some lazy left media folks, for example new republic (Liza Featherstone) summarize the change as this.

"We are ignoring climate risks"

Assuming that the risk ratings were accurate is a huge mistake.

First Street is an enshittified AI play trying to make some cash, not a reliable assessor of risk. Model determined risk should be explainable and open.

Zillow Doesn’t Care If Climate Change Destroys Your New Home

The real estate platform recently removed climate risk scores from its listings—a potentially ruinous development for some buyers.

When did our democracy die?

I put only minor thought into the choices, probably a write-in option would be the most correct. Or the Monty Python choice of "It's not dead yet" 🙂

I know I know, "can't we have both?"

Not so sure have to ask my cats.
