@ghost_bird thanks, it means a lot!
@ghost_bird an invite would be awesome! I’ve also noticed a lot of people I follow are on radical.town. Thinking I might start with cyber.space and maybe make a new account elsewhere if I feel like exploring more
@ghost_bird it’s fine, I don’t have many active followers anyway and I feel like I’d meet more cool people if used a better instance that people trusted. Glad to hear the process has gotten easier!
I realize I should’ve done this, way way way earlier and I’m sorry I haven’t
After like 2 years of excusing my being on .social because I’m shit at technology I think I’m actually going to change—and it turns out to seem surprisingly easy? I’m painfully under-informed regarding moderator bullshit and what accounts/instances are actually problematic af, but I need to do better if I want to support a better online space for poc and others who get harassed and disrespected here. Currently trying to figure out where I should move to, then I’ll be outta here!

Am I imagining things, or is there a very old toot from someone that reads “not to toot my own horn, but...” with a CW’d pic of a horned instrument?

If this doesn’t exist, it must be made

@Cyborgneticz or I guess at least how different concepts are contested, to better use your language of his work
@Cyborgneticz curious to learn more about how his understanding of power (how to is contested & wielded, etc) compares to Foucault. May need to read it myself

@[email protected] I have a terrible memory of my twin and I getting a $25 iTunes gift card for EASTER. My brother immediately went online to buy F*ck You by CeeLo Green, which had been released that year and his middle school brain somehow liked. Think that was a gift from a family friend tho

Regardless, I received way too many gifts as a kid/early teen. Parents bought at least one gift for birthdays, candy and small coins for Easter eggs, and about enough each Christmas to fill a large trash bag.

@[email protected] never, to my knowledge
