Any #bronzeage experts out there? I'm interested in the linear feature in the foreground across the hillside here near Bethesda, north Wales. It's not recorded on the historic environment databases. In an area with plenty of slate trials, this doesn't fit that possibility, not least as its in grits territory, not slate.
The cairns around are Bronze Age and part of a wider funerary landscape.
So, what's that trench or wall?

If ever there was proof of the damage done by neoliberalism, this is it! The second wave (which killed 87,000 people in UK) was driven almost entirely by Sunak’s “eat out to help out”, and Johnson’s defying the experts to ‘save Christmas’.
It is extraordinary that you can kill tens of thousands of people with your obsession with the economy, and yet face absolutely no consequences.
Mind you, that’s nothing compared to the death toll that climate inaction will produce.
This is morning rush hour just outside of the city center of Utrecht, NL.
About 60% of people enter center city #Utrecht by bike, 17% by walking, 14% by transit, and the smallest fraction by car.
It's an important reason why the city works well for everyone.

Couldn't find out but saw he hung out with Max Liebermann - I momentarily shortcircuited and wondered how the internets Mr Fediverse 2025 @maxleibman had breached the reality barrier and gotten out of Mastodon and into Wikipedia as a 19th century impressionist painter. And because I am a #BoostGoose, I had to look to see if Max Liebermann had ever painted any geese which, pleasingly, he had! Which is how we find ourselves at this point with me replying to you with a picture of some geese from 154 years ago!
