🚀 It was an honor to present my latest research at #ADPD2026 in Copenhagen, where I discussed how #AI-enabled enrichment strategies can improve clinical trials in #Parkinson’s disease.

We explored two novel AI-based patient stratification strategies that significantly reduce sample size requirements in randomized clinical trials.
1️⃣ Enrichment for fast-progressing PD subtypes identified by clinical data.
2️⃣ MRI-derived brain age gap to identify patients with accelerated cognitive decline.

❗#Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body Dementia are both caused by the misfolded alpha-synuclein protein. Current diagnostic tests give only a binary result (yes/no), but cannot predict disease progression.
💡A new quantitative test (quantitative alpha-synuclein seed amplification assay, qnSAA) allows to predict cognitive impairment and the development of #dementia.
