“create your own reality” is a progressive rallying cry to manifest a better world + question the official narrative. it’s an aspirational metaphor encouraging imagination and personal agency.
authoritarians hijack it to push a regressive agenda with “alternative facts.” they deny shared evidence to evade accountability.
then progressives have to remind everyone that there actually is objective truth: *futures* are made, but *facts* are not - truth is not optional.

Federal prosecutors had a warrant to collect evidence from Ms. Good’s vehicle, but Trump administration leaders said to drop it. About a dozen prosecutors have departed, leaving the Minnesota U.S. attorney’s office in turmoil.
as far back as the inappropriate response to COVID or before, the drumpf administrations have been intentionally inflicting lasting damage on communities. it’s their m.o.

Fraud happens, but it isn’t caused by ideology — it’s caused by weak oversight. The Pentagon routinely fails audits involving sums that dwarf social programs but we don’t question the need for national defense. SNAP “fraud” is under 2% (mostly administrative), and refugee participation overwhelmingly reflects eligibility, not abuse. Voters don’t reject generosity: they reject unfairness and systems that don’t work.

Trump promised lower prices while pursuing tariffs and deportations that *raised* costs - leaving behind a confusing, ineffective trade policy that weakened markets and alienated allies.
