@bulwarkonline Tim Miller's newfound love for candidates and influencers who devote all their time to shitting on elected Dems is a sight to behold. Ditto for Lauren Egan. We saw what happened to the GOP when they let the inmates run the asylum. We don't want the Dem Party to turn into the outrage monster that is the GOP.

@PamelaBarroway We'll make it through this but it's tough. You're a bridge-builder. I respect that more than you can imagine. I'm old and cantankerous and need to remind myself often that squabbling is not the answer.

@PamelaBarroway The situation is excruciating. I can't imagine the anxiety of any parent who sends their child to a school or daycare center in a synagogue. Jew-hate has reemerged with a vengeance. I see it not only on the right but on the left. It's one of the many reasons I have always had an issue with populism, which needs the divide between "the people" and "the enemy of the people" to explain all political problems, economic woes and social ills. Dark times to be alive.

@LeslieBurns Yes! That must be why I feel at home here. Nerds have a platform for odd musings, interesting trivia, and weird hypotheses about all kinds of things.

@DrSaucy It is amazing to me that among leftwing populists the contention that the US govt is fully responsible for the decisions it makes is so controversial. Whether the Trump admin decided to wage this war based on bribes or because of stupidity doesn't matter. It chose this route. It owns the decision.
