With right-authoritarian forces on the one hand and liberal-progressive ones on the other, elections in 2024 will be fought in several major democracies, including in the European Union. Focussing on the latter, this article explores the electoral chances of the European Green Party (EGP) members, an umbrella organization for environmentalist-progressive forces.
This article chronicles how European Green Party (EGP) members performed in the 213 national, regional and major local elections in Europe in 2023. While EGP members were voted out of government in some of their strongholds, they maintained or increased their fringe influence through arrangements with larger parties in Eastern and Southern Europe.

It is great to see that this crucial election made it to today's front page of one of the most renowned news outlets in Hungary.
Forsa's Bavarian regional election poll shows the centrist FW FREIE WÄHLER (EDP, Renew Europe) second, at 14%. It's the best result for the party ever recorded in any supralocal poll or election.
I would not be surprised if the party hit 5%+ in the Hesse regional election, entering parliament for the first time.
Incredible numbers about Nova Scotia's recent population boom. 4.5% annual population growth is on par with South Sudan, the country with the highest population growth in the world (other than Syria because of the return of refugees) as per the CIA World Fact Book. Massive investments in health, housing, and public transport are needed to keep up with this growth. Immigration made the average age dip despite an aging (and quite old) local population.
