It looks like the Finder's sidebar uses the easy solution of insetting the scrollbar. Probably using that handy layoutGuide(for: .safeArea(cornerAdaptation: .vertical)) API in AppKit, as shown in the "Build an AppKit app with the new design" video.
ew, the roundrect scrollbar being clipped by the roundrect containing view is ugly. (seen in a save dialog)
So Apple's new Liquid Glass design may be controversial, but I think we can all agree that one change to macOS Tahoe is very welcome and long overdue: alerts no longer have the ridiculous centered text that they had from Big Sur through Sequoia:

somewhat amusing scam email I received this morning… you don't often see the French month names used with American style date formatting:
tfw you can’t enjoy an otherwise interesting museum exhibit because your brain is too distracted by the font used on all the signage. (The font is Chicago, the Mac system font from 1984 to 1997, also used in the original iPod. The pottery exhibit is at the Museum of Northern Arizona.)
A few hours later and it’s not doing any better. 😆
Occasionally the Apple News user interface gets very confused.
the Threads logo is a bit weird but it makes for a good pull-to-refresh animation
