Hello #chess community!

I'm working through a chess training handbook, which cites the game between Schulten and Morphy 1857 (New York).

While carefully single stepping through the move notation printed in the book, I noticed that something didn't add up, maybe due to a misprint, or me misinterpreting. So I'm trying to debug the book, by looking online for any other records of this game.

Worse still, the only online versions of this game do not tally at all with the printed version.

So, can anyone help me pin this exact game down please? Was there more than one?

Book says this game began as:
1. e4 e5
2. f4 d5
3. exd5 e4
4. Nc3 Nf6
5. d3 Bb4 ...

(Hopefully that's enough to get a lock on it?)

I would be sunk without my partner right now; I'm so grateful to have them in my life.

I'd have lost my tenancy and quickly demised somewhere out of sight. The last 5 years of medical treatments have left me increasingly discouraged and insecure about my health, longevity, employability, place and value in this world, etc.

To just soldier on has not been an option. Previous job was disrespectfully killing me. Managed to be a bread winner for my kid for most of 20 years solid though.

Praying for a decent new calling now.
