The release of test builds of TIleOS 2.0 Sauropod has begun. Builds will be created once a week. At the moment, the editions with Sway, River and MiracleWM desktops are available. Builds with Qtile and Niri will be published at the end of this week. Note: these builds are intended for development and testing only! They are not intended for installation and everyday use!

Debian-based distribution with tiling window managers
The codename for the next release of
#TileOS will be "Sauropod".
Small, but important from the project's point of view, news. It was decided to abandon plans to create TileOS builds with window managers based on X11. The reason is simple: stagnation of Xorg development, which is supported worse and worse every year, the emphasis of all major developers of the graphics stack on Wayland, the complication of development and support of two window systems. Therefore, TileOS is now an Wayland-only distribution.
