It’s like those post-apocalyptic stories where the singing robots keep singing even though all the humans who were supposed to hear them are long gone. And the smart vacuums keep vacuuming on their set schedule, cleaning for people who will never come home

David McMullinSpiritual guidance is definitely one of the things you can’t get from an LLM. The pope’s reason, because an AI “will never be able to share faith,” is pretty much why I don’t want it for music either. (Whether you choose to take “faith” there literally or metaphorically, art is about sharing something machines can’t have.)
