Also for some (probably like me) it's a lack of understanding and a try to communicate.
And for other, unfortunately you are right.
@nixCraft Beware of rolling distros. I may seem evident: They require constant update. Then moving back to a standard distro become impossible (think postgres, zfs... Version non available on those slow release).
Sometimes I think it’s going to be the librarians who will save us all.
