When at war with a fake democracy run by corrupt Putinists, a fledgling democracy must be careful not to take actions that could appear to mirror Putinist tactics and create an obstacle on its path to EU membership.
One promising sign is that there are protestors in Kyiv freely expressing their opposition to these troubling actions. Something you donโt see much of anymore in Putinist Russia; never underestimate the power of fear to silence dissent.
