@dansup Wow, that's incredible! I wish you the absolute best in whatever comes next for the Fediverse for you.
@dansup you are on fire with all the ActivityPub stuff. Is this your full-time job, or is this just a side project? If it is, I'm wondering where you get the time from.
@Tutanota the Netherlands has announced plans for it too. Everyone under 15 will be banned from every social media. This is absolutely horrible, and I'm so happy a company does something about this. All power to you guys.

FYI: You can hide the For You Feed on Loops in Settings -> Feeds.

That will completely hide the For You tab, and it will be as if it never existed.

We made this a priority to allow those who don't want an algo, to still have a great home and community.

We still have Following and Local feeds ✨

Please spread the message ❤️

They promise not to sell your data or let ads influence responses.

A proposed class-action settlement with Google over their “real-time bidding” system is a step in the right direction to give people more control over their data. But truly curbing the harms of surveillance-based advertising will require stronger legislative protections. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2026/01/google-settlement-may-bring-new-privacy-controls-real-time-bidding
Google Settlement May Bring New Privacy Controls for Real-Time Bidding

EFF has long warned about the dangers of the “real-time bidding” (RTB) system powering nearly every ad you see online. A proposed class-action settlement with Google over their RTB system is a step in the right direction towards giving people more control over their data. Truly curbing the harms of RTB, however, will require stronger legislative protections.
