I keep hearing about this state senate special #election in #louisiana and can we all just be real with ourselves?

The results are depicted as a shift towards #democrat but only mentioned in relation to what #trump yielded in 24. Check out this Wikipedia page for the district: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana%27s_60th_House_of_Representatives_district

The seat has been democrat since at least 2011 and this was the lowest percent yield for them since the ticket was split by another democrat and an independent.

This isn't the upset you're depicting. Be better.

Is there a #mastodon client that treats interacting with the protocol as a chat room a la #irc? Basically thinking interact with a hashtag as if it were a channel to get an easy, simple interface for communicating closer to realtime. The idea hit me as something more purpose-built for party tags like #monsterdon or #bikenite

Could also just be a dumb idea, so feel free to ridicule for lack of forethought.
