being a kid is very different to being an adult- as a kid I could just build a pillow fort. as an adult I have to spend a day designing + pre-planning my pillow fort
Contraption
fans of my "glorious trainwrecks" who missed me releasing a short game every month or so will play AIA and discover it's basically the last 3 years's worth of glorious trainwrecks all shoved into one package.
all these upcoming games are these insanely complicated machines. AIA is complicated because it's a massive open world that loads parts of itself in and out without seams between areas, SEFOF is complicated because it's branching, stacked minigames. Night Games is.... well it's just really big
it'll be interesting because S.E.F.O.F was started as a reaction to me getting tired of working on A.I.A (a much more wholesome game without nary a rude word in it) and so I was like. I want to make something dirty now. and then the thing is it looks like the reactive game is going to come out first.
I estimate I'm about 50% of the way through S.E.F.O.F and I'm actually prioritising it over Amy In Artland (2026)
I'm my own "project manager" so I keep doing all this maths to figure out how long development is going to take. going to kick it into 5th gear next month and just see how much I can get done. this month was already pretty fast.
the next big tech bubble will be jet packs. rich people will be flying around irresponsibly. crashing into planes. it'll make you sick
