The Long Con 2025 Call for Presentations (CFP)
The Long Con is Winnipeg's technical information security conference, back for its seventh year! This year’s event takes place on November 1st & 2nd (2025) at the same venue as last year: X-Cues (551 Sargent Ave).
As usual, we have a single speaking track with a mix of 20- and 50-minute presentations. We're very open on infosec and infosec-adjacent topics; some ideas are: tools, exploits, honeypots, legal issues, privacy issues, defense/offense, cryptography, passwords, reverse engineering, lockpicking, software-defined radio, philosophy, or whatever you're interested in!
The CFP will run until Wednesday, September 3 @ 11:59pm CDT, and decisions will go out within a week. If you need more time for research / prep, feel free to reach out to us - we can always figure things out!
A few notes:
We love newer speakers! If you're interested in having (or being!) a mentor, let us know on the form and we'll pair you up with somebody!
If you submit multiple talk ideas, we will only choose one - you don't need to worry about being scheduled for 5 different talks
We cannot reimburse travel expenses, nor can we sign visa paperwork
Feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions!
