Are the memories I have of writing Book 1 untrue? Why can I only remember this feeling of ease throughout the entire process? Why can’t I remember the struggle? Perhaps if I could remember how challenging it was I’d be able to cut myself some slack for how unbelievably difficult Book 2 is.

Probably rags-to-riches. I've written the most in that one.
I think my actual favorite is "young person gets magic with puberty" because I twist that one to "women get magic with menopause."
