@MichalBryxi I increasingly feel like a cabinetmaker that's being told to burn his chisels and planes and saws and start using this new CNC machine. Or even worse - start ordering for his customers in IKEA, because customers will get furniture quicker and he can fulfill more orders.

Yeah, it will all get faster and cheaper and reproducible and replaceable and painless to throw away and get something new and shiny.

Or maybe I am just getting old and tired of this 😅

@MichalBryxi For me, it's quite the opposite. I see the benefits of AI. I can use it and be amazed how advanced it is. I do see why people and companies want it and there is no way around it.

It just ruins the satisfaction from the job. And there is not much left to ruin already.

We are in a field where everything is abstract, you'll never see your users, you hardly ever see you colleagues, you don't even fully know what you are contributing to. There is never anything finished and done.
