I’ve been reading, and very much enjoying Norse Mythology by @neilhimself.

One of the things that has really struck me is what an absolute asshole #Thor is. There have been many shocking moments but this here just blew my mind.

To set the scene, they’re at Baulder’s funeral and after nobody (including Thor) could launch Baulder’s boat they asked the giantess Hyrrokkin to do it. She managed with great effort, and because he’s a jerk Thor thought that it was disrespectful of her to have actually done the thing they asked her do.

Although he’s persuaded not to immediately kill her, he claims he has to kill someone and will do so later. So then once the pyre is finally lit, we have the below scene:

I merged this PR into one of my #selfhosted projects today and boy did it ever feel good.

I opened up the project because a dependency I was using got deprecated and the inspiration struck.

The state of #Sonos app and products continues to be an absolute embarrassment. It takes nearly 20 seconds for the app to launch and connect to my speakers so I can play/pause or adjust the volume.

This wouldn’t be so bad if the hardware buttons still worked, but they don’t. Mostly the volume buttons set the volume to 1, no matter which one you use.

One hilarious thing in #TheDivision is that if you scan a “civilian in need” to determine what help they need.

Such a bonkers alternative to just having your character ask them.

Me: “I just scanned your neck, hands, and crotch; here’s that soda you need”
Civilian: “Cheers, here’s a scarf”

@overcastfm I’ve got an odd visual bug that seemingly only impacts my ATP Member feed. The outline disappears partly when viewing the show notes.

I don’t have any other podcasts where the show art could demonstrate this, so it’s possible that other shows are impacted.

Probably should make this whatever your lowest bug severity is.
