I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, by which I mean AI. Some pretty notable software engineers have gone all-in on it to an evangelical level, it’s like NFTs and my favourite musicians all over again

After much contrived coding situations I’ve finally found a legitimate use case for writing lambdas in Python, as I need some test boolean methods to pass to a decorator and they are ideal for this

They are a lovely little solution/syntax, what do other folk use them for?

my feed is 80% strawmanning of Meredith Whittaker's AI comments taken out of context, and the other 20% are those "tap the post for a surprise" tweets
I still occasionally go on to Xitter to see what the bots and the nazis are up to, and the amount of anti-Signal tweets today alone has been insane
