Physics Girl, Dianna Cowren, has been essentially off the "air" for three years now, following her catching COVID-19 and coming down with Long Covid. Today, she published her first science video since falling ill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3m3AMRlYfc

This house has everything. My emotions ran the gamut from "this is kind of neat" to "I think I'd trip over that".

The Color Game. “Humans can’t reliably recall colors. This is a simple game to see how good (or bad) you are at it. We’ll show you five colors, then you’ll try and recreate them.” I scored 39/50 but got a perfect score on one color. https://dialed.gg/
Color Memory Game — How Well Can You Remember Colors?

We show you colors. You recreate them from memory. Challenge friends to beat your score. It's harder than you think. Play free at dialed.gg.

@simon_brooke it's true the SNP should have delivered what they stand for and what they were elected for in the last 2 decades. Now they are in the position that there is a high probability Holyrood itself will cease to exist if they dont achieve independence in this very last vote. In 2029 Farage will shut down Holyrood. You heard it here first. Clocks ticking. Let's make Indy happen!

The thread about The Mound’s Electric Blanket; keeping buses (and rugby) running in the face of “winter’s fierce onslaught”

Once again somehow it is December in Edinburgh and temperatures are forecast to drop below freezing within the week. Relatively speaking our city isn't a particularly cold one and it is even less a snowy one, but when the temperatures do drop the steep gradients of its north-facing streets can prove treacherous. Seventy-odd years ago, the…

Hi all,
I'm sharing my study on the experience of seeking and having counselling due to symptoms of fatigue from ME/CFS or long covid. I am doing this for my master's dissertation in counselling.

I'll be doing interviews with questions about the impact of counselling on how people view themselves, their illness, and any influence on their relationships. If this sounds relevant to you and you are interested in participating and you are in the UK, please email me at [email protected].

This should help with power cuts. 4x 240V sockets, 4x USB sockets (plus free x3 AC adapter), charges from mains or our petrol generator (~1hr), or the car 12V socket (slower), and will take up to 1kW of solar input.

Will run LPG boiler for days on a charge, so heating and hot water covered. Fridge/freezer covered for at least a day. Microwave for about 45mins per charge, TV and Xbox for long enough to watch a film.

Plus useful for J's remote art stuff, running a PA system or projector.
