Edit : this image is AI slop. I didn't catch it at first and now I feel like a tool. This post blew up, so I'm gonna leave it. I will be much more careful in the future.

A short update for March 2026.
We are continuing to actively fundraise for financial support to develop a Wayland compositor for Xfce(xfwl4).
In the month of February, we have received 52 donations (Xfce: $419.61 & Xfce(EU): €634.10).
To date, we have paid out $15,050 for work completed on xfwl4.
Thanks again for your generous support and ongoing donations. We are grateful for your commitment to help improve Xfce.

I have now uploaded my new album to jam.coop and bandwagon, so the release is complete. All links are here: https://defaultmediatransmitter.com/the-machines-are-having-fun/
Ask me anything about the album. I still remember stuff about it, and I may be able to answer.

If you were looking to spend some money on my music but you're tight, well, let me get half of that for ya. Use code "dfire" (as in dumpster fire) and take 50% off anything.

So I've tried multiple Mastodon/Fediverse clients on Linux desktop, but so far the selfhostable web UI #phanpy seems to be the best fit for me :)
On #Android I usually go for #Tusky - it just feels more polished than the official #Mastodon Android app in some aspects.
Not criticizing anyone or anything, just sharing my experiences with alternative clients!
