@tadbithuman @arrrg Exactly that too. I'd feel a lot less bad about the future if everyone stopped for a minute and admitted that they did wrong, maybe even try to do less wrong in the future as a strategy.
That doesn't seem to have been the key takeaway, though. They're just going to do it again.

The sycophants cannot blame dear leaders for their failures, chief among them being a loser in an election, because they want to stay in their good graces. The faceless, nameless sycophants befuddle me though. I guess dehumanization of billions of human beings is what they want anyway but they don't want to be so crude about it.
