Last week I've done a complete overhaul of the Preferences dialog implementation in #gedit. It still looks almost exactly the same, but now contains a Reset All button, to do like a "soft" factory reset.
(When clicking on that button, a confirmation dialog is shown, of course)
The next thing that I would like to improve in the Preferences dialog is the Plugins manager (among other things, add a search entry). But that's for another time 😉
