When encountering strange behaviour trying to port a program, you might want to check if some fundamental function has been changed between versions. And Sharp, why did you change the 254 character unDIMed string length we had in the E5xx series back to 7 in the G85x? #ポケコン #twitterarchive

"Just one organizer, Rick. That's it. Just to play a bit, then it goes right back on ebay."

Yeah, right.

Somewhat regularly, I take stock of my retro collection. Mostly to make sure I've taken the batteries out. While I had most of my stuff out, I took some pretty pictures.

While on a little outing to our local art museum yesterday, I came across this interesting piece. Apparently, the sculptor Hede Bühl envisioned Robocop 12 years before MGM did. :)

Rats. Yeah right, Mr. Police dude.

I love getting parcels from Japan! Today's delivery included some auction wins, a 3D printed pocket computer cover, a few watches to fill out the package & a cheap handheld games console! #casio #vx2 #fx780p #sharp #g820 #ポケコン

Good units are expensive, but I personally wouldn't pay more than €150 for a unit in excellent condition, preferably with RAM expansion. My last PB-1000 came off eBay for €30 in Dec. It had some corrosion issues & the open slider is missing, other than that it works perfectly.
You can see the family resemblance to Casio's other clam shell models, although the PB-1000 dwarfs them in both size and weight. The chunkiness comes in no small part from the 3 AA batteries needed to power the unit.
