To date, 818 asteroids have been discovered that are dangerously close to the earth. And every year the risk that such a block will fall to the ground grows. An asteroid with a diameter of 1 km can deal a decent blow to the life of our planet, but not fatal.An asteroid with a diameter of 10 km would be much worse. Our planet simply cannot cope with an asteroid of this size. There is a chance of such an asteroid falling, but it is small: approximately 1 in 100,000.
