OK I love how this turned out... and I've perfected a technique for pouring resin that gets rid of the air bubbles without a vacuum pump chamber thing (which I can't afford lmao). Anyway, can't wait to put the rest of this weird artsy lamp together :)
Back to making weird stuff, I reckon. This fellow will become a tiny lamp. Etsy store not open yet, but once I've got a few weird pieces to show...
One of my great joys in life is CREATING. But not just "poof, here it is," the act of designing, testing, iterating, until you've got what you need. And one of the best distillations of this is with 3D printing. I needed a large scoop for "magic sand" (plastic sand) for a video I'm making to explain why the Good Potato Project is needed, and after some iterations I came up with exactly what I needed using screen I had on hand, some PLA, and a remixed design via TinkerCAD.
One of the comical mixups with Siri is when you attempt to use a noun that has been around for a few hundred years but is also the product name of an Apple app, like Notes. I'm selling my SUPERNOTE (I need paper, ugh) and this is what it transcribed. Not good UX, but funny, I suppose. Also not really so much a bicycle for the mind as a bucket for cognitive overload.
That's me in the corner.

Each Sunday I'm going to promote the Good Potato Project with a Sunday Spin, an album from my very weird collection of vinyl and CDs. Kicking off the 1st Sunday, and the 1st of March is Al Di Meola's Splendido Hotel. It's a journey across two records! My dad bought this at Record Bar when I was in first grade :)
My first
#ThrowbackThursday on here is a book I had as a kid!
No idea why we kept it ◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜
But we will be discussing these old programming books in the Good Potato Project's newsletter (^_^)
OK, it is Caturday, I should post a photo of my little one, Jiji (named after the cat in Kiki's Delivery Service)
